On Sept. 10,1991, HONDA launched the 5th generation of their Civic model. Although retaining the image of the old model there has been a bold chage of concept, with the design approached from quite a different point of view. The overall length of the 3-door version is extended by 75mm, creating a sleeker line. Driver and 3 passengers can be comfortably accommodated in all models other than the 3-door ETi. The rear seats can be folded to increase the capacity of the flat-floored luggage compartment. The VTi model has the superb 1.5 litre, 16-valve VTEC (Variable Valve Timing & Lift Electronic Control System). The ETi model has VTEC-E engine, which is more sophisticated than the old model to provide better driving and cost performances.

This is a Honda Civic EG6 Replica. This kit is 1/24 scale made by Hasegawa 1994 production item no. CD-10. This is a special kit I built for my friend who is driving this vehicle, so I specially made the left hand steering for North America. I also made the Ontario licence plate for realism. I chose this kit because it has the unique wheel to match the real wheel cover. I only spent 16 hours to finish the project. Hasegawa designed this kit too simple and the suggested retail price of this kit is too expensive. The only positive is Hasegawa decided to release this most popular citizen car "CIVIC".
